Finnish firm launches "world’s first" hub for CO2 removal certificates

Finnish firm Puro.earth, launched the world’s first carbon-removal marketplace on 30 June 2020. Their namesake marketplace offers businesses a way to reach net-zero emissions by buying Carbon Dioxide Removal Certificates (CORCs).

CORCs which are verified by DNV GL, represent a tonne of CO2 removed from the atmosphere by one of three methods: biochar production, carbonated building materials and wooden building materials.
